I love pumpkin spice season, which is evident by the last few recipes we’ve posted on True Family Food. This recipe is a perfect after nap snack that is a snap for a toddler to make.

If you’re like me, you get into ruts of smoothie making. We do the standard frozen berries, frozen banana, spinach, and non-dairy milk on the reg, and sometimes I just want to shake it up a bit. This fits the bill. Creamy and festive, we’ve been having these about once a week since October hit.
Feel free to throw in some spinach, chia sees, or ground flax to give a little nutrient boost.
Ingredients
Makes 2 small smoothies
1/2 cup canned pumpkin
1 small frozen banana
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice +additional for garnish
3/4 cup full fat oat milk
Instructions
- Place all ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth.
- If too thick, add an additional 2 tablespoons oat milk.
