Brilliant Blueberry Smoothie

This gorgeous smoothie is a staple in my house! The color is a win for the kids, and the fiber is a win for me! I love that they can get such a burst of antioxidants from the load of blueberries that gets chucked in there, and the seeds give some great fats and fiber. Win-win-win. I often make this smoothie for breakfast when I know we’re having something that doesn’t have any fiber like scrambled eggs or bagels with cream cheese.

Ocean Blue Blueberry Smoothie

Ingredients

1 ¼ cup whole milk 

1 ½ cups frozen blueberries

1 Tablespoon peanut butter

1 banana (not frozen-or you will need more milk to thin)

2 Tablespoon chia seeds, ground flax seed, or hemp seeds (or a combination or all)

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to your blender. 
  2. Blend until smooth. 
  3. If your smoothie is too thick for your liking, add a splash more milk and blend again.
